Edit Students Maintenance of accounts is done using a specially modified version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Instead of typing "http://" you activate IAS by starting with "iamecs://". This starts the AES security feature of IAS guaranteeing you secure access while allowing you to work from any approved computer on the college network or the Internet. IAS locks the secure browser to the machine. If the machine is not registered at the IAS server, access is denied. Unlike certificate based systems that can be spoofed, IAS locks down the security with our proprietary token passing encryption system.
